How is my health score calculated?
The score runs from 0 to 100 and rests on four things: reminders that are up to date, legal obligations (a valid roadworthiness test and insurance), servicing done on time, and how recently you have kept the vehicle updated. The full breakdown is shown in the app, line by line. It never drops simply because you have not opened the app: only a genuinely missed deadline brings it down.
What happens if I stop my Plus subscription?
You keep all of your data, without exception, and you keep read access to your entire history. You only lose the Plus features (AI scanning, advanced budget, widgets). You can export your logbook to PDF at any time, including after the subscription ends.
Is my data sent to a third party when I scan a document?
Odometer and licence plate scanning happens entirely on your iPhone, with nothing sent anywhere. For invoices and registration documents, the image is passed to our analysis provider to extract the information and is not retained by them afterwards. For a registration document we only extract the vehicle fields: the holder's name and address are never stored.
Why does the app ask for my location?
Only to show the petrol stations near you and their prices. Your position is neither stored nor shared with a third party, and the permission is optional: the rest of the app works perfectly without it.
Can I use AutoCare for my business?
Yes. Plenty of tradespeople, taxi and ride-hailing drivers and driving schools track their vehicles with AutoCare. For a fleet of 2 to 15 vehicles, the Pro Fleet plan adds roles, multiple drivers and an accounting export — full details on the professionals page (in French).
How do I hand the vehicle over to the buyer when I sell it?
AutoCare Plus generates a complete resale file as a PDF, covering the maintenance history and the vehicle documents. Handing the logbook to the new owner is done through a simple secure share, and your personal details are not included.
Does the suggested maintenance plan replace the manufacturer’s schedule?
No, and this matters. AutoCare's recommendations are indicative and replace neither your manufacturer's service schedule nor the opinion of a qualified professional. If you have any doubt about the safety of your vehicle, do not drive it and see a mechanic.
How much does AutoCare cost?
The app is free for one vehicle, including reminders, expenses, the fuel map and the health score. AutoCare Plus costs €3.99 per month, €29.99 per year or €69.99 as a one-off payment. Accounts created before Plus arrived keep unlimited vehicles and PDF export free, for life.
Is AutoCare available on Android?
Not yet. AutoCare is currently available on iPhone only. An Android version is planned, but we would rather do one platform properly than two halfway.
